I have just been reading a very interesting article on what factors affect the outcome and healing time following a Root Canal Filling and I am delighted to see that all of the efforts that we go to at StoneRock to produce the highest possible standard of root canal filling are worth it.
Root treatments that do not reach to the tips of the roots or expand to fill the whole of the canal or are not properly disinfected or irrigated during treatment fail more often than ones that are done well. This is not really any great surprise and the study simply reinforces a lot of what we already knew but a little reassurance is always nice and we all like to hear that we are doing something right!
Put simply root canal fillings are an excellent way of restoring the function of a tooth that has died off and they are a routine, painless procedure to provide but they do need to be completed by the right pair of hands under ideal conditions to have their best chance of success.
