This series of photos shows, in a little more detail, how we can fix a broken tooth and repair some damaged teeth using a combination of direct white fillings and cast porcelain crowns.
The patient was referred to StoneRock with a request that we fix the very broken tooth in the upper jaw and restore the lower front teeth that had had conventional porcelain veneers that had all come off. Of course we were delighted to do this and provided a new crown, supported by a post and core for the upper tooth and some direct white fillings for the lower. (There was only a very limited amount of enamel remaining in the lower jaw making it much harder to bond to these teeth. The patient did not want to risk the extra investment of porcelain veneers again so we opted to restore the teeth directly using white filing material, with a very pleasing result).
The broken tooth in the upper jaw needed a root canal filling, followed by a direct fibre post and core. We then took an impression of this, from which the laboratory technician made a cast porcelain crown that we cemented in place.
