Following on from my Finland trip in January I was lucky enough to visit the DMG factory in Hamburg where a staggering array of very high quality dental materials are made.The visit provided me with an amazing insight into how much time, effort, skill and knowledge (not to mention money) goes into researching and developing even a simple dental material. It is very reassuring as a dentist to know that such a dedicated team are working behind the scenes to make my work better, safer and more predictable in it’s outcome. The new research involved in “Icon” shows the future of dentistry with minimal intervention and prevention going hand in hand to make cavities and fillings a thing of the past.
The photo below shows that the team and their guests are not only dedicated scientists and clinicians but they are also not afraid to push back the boundaries of modern fashion.
