As you know I am a huge fan of this approach to dentistry. Using fibre reinforced composites to strengthen and restore damaged teeth and smiles is immensely rewarding and satisfying work. It is an approach that is not without it’s challenges but the ability to treat otherwise untreatable cases and to give same day results with usually no drilling or any need to numb makes it all worth while.
Case 1 Long term missing teeth replaced with direct FRC bridges, built in the mouth in one visit. This patient had suffered with missing teeth for many years because he did not want to wear dentures and could not afford implants. This solution gave him what he wanted in a cost effective and speedy manner.
Case 2 This case shows how we can replace a tooth (a retained baby canine) and restore a damaged adjacent tooth at the same time using a laboratory made FRC bridge.
Case 3 This case shows how a very damaged tooth and loose teeth (due to advanced gum disease) can be splinted together and restored at the same time using direct FRC splints and posts and crowns.
Fibre reinforced composites are changing the face of dentistry. If you want to know how they might help you then please call the surgery on 01580 752202 and arrange a consultation with either Dr Russell Blanchard BDS or Dr Ian Kerr BDS both of whom would be happy to help you.
