This case highlights one of the biggest challenges in dentistry: the replacement of a single front tooth with an implant retained crown. In this case it was a team effort of Russell Blanchard for the restorative work, Sally Dyer of Whalton Dental Arts for the ceramic restorations and Kia Rezavandi for the implant work.
After much discussion before any work began it was agreed that the best aesthetics would be achieved if the adjacent teeth were restored with ceramic veneers as this would allow the team to give the correct proportions for each of the teeth rather than trying to fit the implant crown to the space created (the original crown is too short and wide and this would have been replicated in the new implant retained crown which the patient did not want.
